We are thrilled to announce our first-ever virtual trade show, Brandboom Fashion Week. Events run from Monday, November 15 through Friday, November 19, 2021, and our digital marketplace runs from Monday, November 15 through the end of the year.
During this event, streetwear brands can showcase at our Street Collective Marketplace with their remaining inventory to thousands of retail buyers in our virtual trade show platform. They’ll also have the opportunity to meet buyers in preparation for 2022.
As an extra bonus, we're offering free shipping with flowSHIP during Fashion Week.
To ensure a successful week for our brands, we’ve created the Ultimate Guide to maximizing success at Brandboom Fashion Week.
And while this event features streetwear brands, we look forward to featuring more categories in the near future.
Let’s dive right in!
Tip #1: Optimize Your Line Sheets
Your line sheet presentation is where new retail buyers explore your products, learn about your brand, and place orders. So, it’s incredibly important that your presentation gives you the best chance of success.
If you haven’t made a line sheet with Brandboom yet or need a refresher, you can check out these articles to Create a Product and Create a Presentation.
There are two parts to optimizing your line sheet. We will look at the second part in the next tip.
Part 1: Ensure the visual and text elements in the presentation, products, and brands make an amazing first impression.
Here are some criteria we use when deciding whether to accept or reject a line sheet:
- Branding and lifestyle images
- Clear title for brand and collection (ex: "Winter 21/22 Collection" instead of "Tees for Sale")
- Clear brand story in the About the Brand section
- Clear, organized, high-quality product images
- Organized Product Sections
(If you have used Brandboom Connect Marketplace, the criteria is the same. You can find our Connect Presentation Guide for the full list of approval and rejection criteria.)
In addition to these criteria, line sheets must be for At-Once ordering only.
After working with thousands of brands, we’ve also found four areas you need to pay special attention to in order to develop the most effective line sheet: You can learn more about those here.
Tip #2: Set Your Own Terms to Ensure the Best Orders
To ensure you are getting orders that are the right fit for your business, you have the option to Set a Deposit Requirement, Order Minimum, and Terms of Sale.
Once set up, they will appear on your line sheet.
While these are tools at your disposal, they are not required. We recommend you pick what works best for you and your business.
Tip #3: Attract Buyers with $1,000 in Free Shipping!
During Brandboom Fashion Week, we’ll be offering free shipping with flowSHIP. It’s the perfect incentive to reach out to your retail buyers and ask them to shop your products during this week!
You can copy this invite link and send an email invite to your buyers. Shipments must occur between Monday, November 15, 2021 at 12:01am (PST) and Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:59pm (PST).
Tip #4: Meet With New Buyers & Grow Relationships
Meeting with new buyers is a great way to build new relationships and deepen existing ones in preparation for 2022.
As a paid user, you can facilitate meetings with Brandboom’s Calendly integration.
Adding your Calendly link to your presentation is super simple, and you can learn how here. Once added, every time a buyer views your line sheet, they will see an icon that allows them to book a time to meet with you.
Conclusion
Once you’re done, submit your line sheet. The last day to submit is Friday, November 12, 2021, but we highly recommend submitting it a couple of days in advance in case we require adjustments in order to include your line sheet.
And that’s it. Welcome to Brandboom Fashion Week: Street Collective!
FAQ’s
What does it cost to participate?
For brands and sellers, participation in the Marketplace is free with either of our paid plans. We offer two different Paid Options to fit your brand’s needs.
For buyers, attending is completely free.
How can I sign up?
Sellers can submit your line sheet here. And buyers can sign up to attend here.
How does it work?
Brandboom Fashion Week: Street Collective is a week of events that will take place from Monday, November 15, through Friday, November 19. Buyers will browse brands’ streetwear presentations (by category or brand), schedule meetings with brands, and place orders in Brandboom’s digital marketplace. During Fashion Week, buyers will have access to free shipping as long as sellers use flowSHIP ground shipping. After the show closes on Friday, the digital marketplace will still be open for buyers to place orders until the end of the year.
All approved line sheets will be available for the duration of the trade show. If a brand downgrades to the free plan, the line sheet will be removed from the trade show, but it will not affect any orders made during the show.
What if my brand isn’t streetwear?
This Brandboom Fashion Week will be focused on featuring specifically streetwear brands. However, we are excited to feature more categories in the near future! You can still register interest here if you would like to be considered for future shows.
How do I get $1,000 in free shipping?
flowSHIP lets sellers print shipping labels and manage shipments from within the Brandboom platform, greatly simplifying logistics. Each paid Brandboom customer account will get $1,000 of credit (to use exclusively during Fashion Week) on orders shipped with flowSHIP ground (serviced by UPS). Any additional charges/overages will be billed to the credit card on file. To set up flowSHIP, use the following guides: Apply for flowSHIP and How to Use flowSHIP.
How is this any different than Connect Marketplace?
While the Line Sheet Requirements are similar, the platforms are quite different.
Brandboom Fashion Week is a virtual trade show, where buyers browse a variety of collections. Each brand will have an equal opportunity to be seen by buyers. And like an in-person show, there is no additional fee for any leads or sales made via the trade show.
Connect Marketplace is an AI marketing service that shows your line sheets to specific buyers that the AI deems are good matches for your brand. As it is a marketing service, there is a fee for each sale that is made using the service.
Why should my brand be a part of Brandboom Fashion Week?
Since the show is At-Once orders only, it’s a great last chance to get orders in and sell your remaining inventory. It’s also a great opportunity to meet with new buyers in preparation for next year. You can use Brandboom’s Calendly integration to allow buyers to schedule meetings with you directly from your line sheet. Additionally, it’s a good time to reach out to your existing buyers, letting them know they can place orders and get free shipping during Fashion Week. You can use this link (www.brandboom.com/brandboomfashionweek/a/FA3F96ECF9C) to invite them.
How does payment work for this event?
It’s entirely up to you. Your paid Brandboom subscription includes invoicing, and if you are using our Business plan, you can connect to Stripe or Paypal to take payment immediately.
