DECO BOKO

Los Angeles, California - Brandboom is pleased to announce a partnership with DECO BOKO. Founded by North Lane International, LLC, the trade show will focus solely on Japanese brands and products, ranging from home goods, decor, stationery, fashion accessories, and more.

The expertly curated show is directed by Herbert Johnson, founder of 1-81 Agency and former buyer and store manager for Japanese design institution, Tortoise General Store in Los Angeles.

Beginning in September 2020 with an online series of events, the show will start digital and run physical events when they deem it's responsibly safe. The "phygital" show is singularly focussed on showcasing Japanese craft and products to the United States.

In a significant coup, Tokyo International Gift Show, the largest trade show in Japan, will be among the exhibitors and bringing its "Made in/by Japan" and "Design in/by Japan" goods to the US market.

DECO BOKO is a Japanese phrase that means "uneven" or "filling in the gaps"; the show promises to showcase inspiring products with deep Japanese heritage.

"Although we have been seeing high potential in well made/designed Japanese products, there are often gaps between the Japanese brands and the American buyers that makes it hard to do business" says Mariko Reyes, Founder of DECO BOKO.

"We hope this show helps fill in the gaps between the Japanese brands and US buyers, for better transparency and fewer steps to achieve a business relationship for both parties".

DECO BOKO will commence it's Fall/Winter 2020 run on September 21st, 2020. Buyers can register for access to the show here.
